My meds have changed and THE BOSS has restricted me to the house until my body adjusts to the side effects……..meaning the WOO-WOOs have eased up. Back in my young and wild days when I was doing my level best to keep profit levels up at Anheuser -Busch I must admit that I frequently occasionally overindulged. This often resulted in what is commonly referred to as bed spin.
Now that I’m no longer wild and free much, much older, semi-tame, clean and sober for 20 years an old geezer any change in my meds usually gives me a world class case of full house spins. This is the case today which is why THE BOSS has duck taped me to my trusty La-Z-Boy!
Since I can’t go out roaming around with the cameras I thought I’d delve into my archives and share some of my older stuff. Let me take you on a little trip across Virginia from the mountains to the sea.
The observation tower atop Big Walker Mountain
The old depot in Rural Retreat
Christmas stock pond
To quote a song from the days of my youth “I can see for miles and miles”
The Bridge – Hungry Mother State Park
Rural Retreat Lake
Patriotic Shed
Patriotic Shed II
Blue Ridge Sunrise
Sunset the Same Day
I did say from the mountains to the sea, didn’t I? For the second part of this tour you’ll need to go HERE.

ReplyDeletehope your house spins end soon!
I really feel for you. Any new med, always have a big adjustment period. One thing I did once was take a tiny bit, and built up to the full dose.Great photos as always. Mom loved them. Thinks you ought to write a book!
ReplyDeleteAll of these photos are wonderful! Love the old train depot. I've had enough meds these past two months to qualify me as a junkie! Thank goodness now it's only tylenol and my bp med.
ReplyDeleteA great seies, sorry about the "stay at home" theory. Hope you will get better.
ReplyDeleteYou are surrounded by beautiful mountains for as far as the eye can see and by majestic seas at the seashore of your youth. The best of both worlds, I'd say.
ReplyDeleteI hope your world stops spinning and you feel good enough to roam again with camera in hand.
~:)
What a great series Chip. With beauty like this waiting for you I sure hope your meds adjust soon, so you can get back out there and enjoy all this!
ReplyDeleteThose are great pics. But, I really was looking forward to one of you taped to the lazy boy!
ReplyDeleteHope your meds quit giving you the spins soon. My new glasses have me disoriented...so I can't even imagine what you are going thru.
Happy weekend,
I'm out tomorrow
Even in the midst of feeling the side effects of new meds, this is what you produce? Keep this up, and when you get to heaven, God'll be askin' you to take his best side!!!lol! I love what you do, even when it's pulling archives cuz you gotta stay put for a day or two...wonderful...love, Katie.
ReplyDeleteImpressive series! Scrolling down they just keep getting better and better. Fabulous work! I hope your spins get better. I always hate them.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are really so awesome to see Chip! I think that taking pictures is therapeutic but also sharing them is a part of what's such a blessing! Thank you for sharing this!
